  • When does a pup start to show?
  • What is an “AKC-certified” puppy?
  • Where can I find more information about conformation shows
(like the Westminster Dog Club show at New York’s Madison Square Garden)?

  • Have any Jackpot Beagles been in the movies?
  • Will I be asked if I’d like my Jackpot Beagle to be in commercials and on TV?

Jackpot Movie Stars!

Jackpot Beagles was pleased to supply Boone's Animal Actors of Hollywood with two beagles for the filming of Cats and Dogs and for the sequel (Cats and Dogs II). Rio and Cooper (brothers) left for Hollywood at 8 months old. There, they were trained and conditioned to be "in the pictures."

You'll see them both in the opening scene of Cats and Dogs (where all five beagles play in the barn), and both Rio and Cooper star (in different scenes) as the lead character, "Lou".

Eagle-eye tip: You'll notice that when a human picks up "Lou," the beagle is female, but when "Lou" runs and plays or sits, the beagle is male.

Hooray for Hollywood!

Pictured above is the Beagle "cast" of Cats and Dogs. Cooper (Jackpot's Rock and Roll Legend) is top left and Rio (Jackpot's Rio) is bottom right.

Watch for the sequel - Cats and Dogs II - sometime next year!
